Papalala Za Ongwala (the wings of the Eagle)

All of the proceeds from the sale of Shirley's paintings go to the Eagle Wings Christian Family. Eagle Wings is Chiomba Nkhanga  in Chchewa.  Eagle Wings is made up of a very small group of Christians, who support five local Malawian missionaries and their families in their work. Eagle Wings is not a charity organisation, instead it aims to help Malawians to become self sufficient. https://www.facebook.com/wingsofmalawi/

Isaiah 40:31 “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not be faint.”

Pastor Steven

Dear Shirley,

Greeting from myself Kestinah and children. We are physically fine. Kestinah who has been experiencing pneumonia problem is now fine.

The internet Café which I usually use had things to sort out hence the delay in sending my monthly or Kennedys monthly reports. God’s work has been going on well both at church and reaching villages prison and hospital visitation. From April to July, 9 villages have been reached and two open air rallys have been performed which has led to 23 people being baptized on 16th July. The last years maize sharing has led to some families join the church such as lady Tumpale (69 yrs age with 3 grand daughters, village head Nkhata(widow), Mr. and Mrs Mhone, Shakira, Rose Mfune, Tiwanda Mphande just to mention a few.

We are on our knees for your trip. We are eagerly waiting to see what God has planned for Wings of Eagle this year.

I and Kestinah send greetings to you and all those whose hearts are to serve God though their services.

God bless you as he keeps you physically well until that time.

Yours in Christ

The Lord's work continues

This is Pastor Julius Baptist Church in Nsanje, he first went to Nasanje in 2013 from Manyowe Babtist Church.

Dear Shirley, Judy

I am happy to have received the email now, am not aware what might have happened in the first email never to reach me.

I thank God now that I have a full written program of your visit.

Don’t also be Panic if you feel it might not be possible for you to be here in one of the Sundays, we trust the Lord has given a way out, we shall follow His will.

Our main joy in your visit is to meet you after taking so long without meeting(,ten years)

and it will be the first time to meet Judy, Glory to God! Don’t worry about gifts to us, you have been and you are doing a great work to us, supporting us with monies monthly, it’s not easy and we appreciate for that so much. YOUR VISIT TO MALAWI IS THE BEST GIFT WE WANTED.

I know how in many ways you have sacrificed yourself and your resources towards reaching the missions of God specifically helping and visiting us as you are doing, my prayer is that God will recompense you for the pains you get in all these sacrifices. I know you are going to spend Millions of Kwachas to get here in Malawi and implement all the things God has pressed at Heart!

Let me encourage you that “NO ONE DOES THE WORK OF GOD IN TRUTH WITHOUT GOD DOING SOMETHING IN HIS/HER LIFE” so it’s my hope that God will pay a hundredfold for her pension and restore your Job immediately you get back , that is our prayer.

Yours in God service,

Julius

Pastor Steven

Dear Shirley,

I have actively benn holding open rallies and door to door around six villages of Lutaba, Kavibale, Nkhokwe Kasikizi, Mulinda and Matuli.

Around these villages, I sometimes visited households reached by one or four Moslems. These people use material like cloth as means to win the poor to their faith which people easily make a u-turn. During December I baptized nineteen new believers and in January I have had several follow-ups. I have once gone to prison but several visits and lunch hour services to hospital. Pray for us we have moved to new a place where water is very bad. We are sick one after another . my wife and I have been the most unfortunate because right now Kestinah is sick. The new place is where we have built our house close to church. No electricity, no water tap which we have to pay around K150,000 for connection of water pipes from a far line. Pray for Zitha and her Husband. These have been Moslems . Kennedy is sending his report to me in two days so I have to send it to you.

May God bless you in just started 2017.
