Papalala Za Ongwala (the wings of the Eagle)
All of the proceeds from the sale of Shirley's paintings go to the Eagle Wings Christian Family. Eagle Wings is Chiomba Nkhanga in Chchewa. Eagle Wings is made up of a very small group of Christians, who support five local Malawian missionaries and their families in their work. It's not easy to send money oversea's, but for over 12 years we have being doing so. For those whom don't believe, its hard to understand why we would support Malawian Pastors.
Properly people would think it would be better to be a charity. However the two go hand in hand, because the Pastors share and help the hungery. Pastor Julius in the south gives ten precent of his living wage to feed the hungry people in his village. UPDATE We have been blessed to increase the living wage to $203 per month. This includes the support for the orphans Hassan junior, Trinity and Hanna.
The Pastors do without themselves so they can look after those in need. They do a better job than we can do in the west.
Now we have beautiful Veronica Mughagha to reprecent us in Malawi together with her husband Anderson.
